Grade 9/Grade 10
Grade 9/Grade 10
The earlier families begin the college planning process, the more likely there is to be a successful outcome. Early college planning ensures you and your child are doing what you need to be doing in advance of the process. This significantly decreases stress associated with the process while enabling your child to put his or her best foot forward. We will proactively counsel your family during freshman and sophomore year on the following topics:
Initial and ongoing review of high school transcripts, standardized test scores (SAT, ACT, SAT Subject Test, and PSAT), and extracurricular activities and interests.
Assistance with high school course selection, homework and activity time management, summer opportunities and enrichment.
Preliminary guidance on SAT and ACT preparation, and discussion of how the tests are used in the college admission process.
Assessment of your particular high school's resources and how best to make use of them.
Suggestions for pursuing opportunities outside of your high school.
Assistance with applications to summer programs, contests, and internships as appropriate.
For students interested in athletic recruitment, assistance with contacting college coaches.
Initial development of list of colleges to research and visit.
Advice about how to make the most of your college visits.
Parent, grandparent, and distant-cousin calming services as needed.
The Grade 9/Grade 10 Grade plan is priced on an annual basis: $1500/year. This also gives you access to our Tutors and Pre SAT/ACT and AP Test Resources including Study Guides and Sample Tests.
